Jeevanpramaan at Doorstep at 70 Rupees by IPPB

What is Jeevanpramaan and how to submit Jeevanpramaan at home are all discussed in my previous blog. In this blog, let's explore the new order from the Government as a method to help the eldest senior citizens to submit their Jeevanpramaan at ease from home without them purchasing or owning a biometric device of their own. Our previous blog explained the submission of Jeevanpramaan through the biometric device at home via UMANG App and submission of Jeevanpramaan through the biometric device at home via Jeevanpramaan App. But this process is just raising a request to the postal department and fulfilling the Jeevanpramaan submission.




Let's see a few attributes of the process - Jeevanpramaan at Doorstep at 70 Rupees by IPPB(Indian Post Payment Bank)

ADVANTAGES

  1. Paperless method
  2. From home-doable method
  3. Avoid the rush and incidental expenses
  4. Relatively cheaper than purchasing the biometric device for 2000 INR approx. and we can do it at home.


CONDITIONS

  1. The service fee is 70 INR in cash
  2. Applicable for central Government pensioners ( call nearest IPPB and conform whether state government and other government pensioners too can avail this benefit)

  2. Pensioner mobile number


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PENSIONER SHOULD BE AWARE OF AT THE TIME OF JEEVANPRAMAAN SUBMISSION ARE

  1. To have registered the Aadhar number with pension disbursing agency (bank/post office)
  2. Type of pension
  3. Sanctioning Authority
  4. Disbursing Agency
  5. PPO Number
  6. Pension bank account number 
  7. Email ID

THE ROUTES OF SUBMISSION OF JEEVANPRAMAN AT DOORSTEP AT 70 Rs BY  IPPB

ROUTE 1

  1. Raising the request to the Postal Department through this link
  2. Fill up the form giving your name, address, Pincode, email ID, and mobile number, etc here select service as IPPB and then request an OTP (one-time-password).
  3. Then enter the OTP received and submit the form.
  4. This form will reach the postal info agency and they will contact you.

ROUTE 2

  1. Visit google play store download the postal info app.
  2. click service request in the app
  3. Fill up the form giving your name, address, Pincode, email ID, and mobile number, etc here select service as IPPB and then request an OTP (one-time-password).
  4. Then enter the OTP received and submit the form.
  5. This form will reach the postal info agency and they will contact you.


Thus the entire process is to raise a request to the postal department either via route 1 or via route 2
Within 48 hours of request raise the postal department/ Gram Dak Sevak will contact you and enquire you for a convenient time to visit the pensioner.
Keep all the documents mentioned above ready for the convenience of the process. Once the postman reaches you he will fill up all the relevant information and will bring a biometric device to get your finger scanned and will submit your finger scan. The submission of your finger scan will be confirmed via SMS right away after submission. Automatically your life certificate gets submitted to your concerned bank and you may receive bank confirmation within 2 working days via SMS. You don't have to visit the bank.

The charge for Digital Life certificate generation is Rupees 70 no more additional charges applicable.
